Sadly, Lindsey Vonn won’t be able to participate in the 2014 Olympics due to a knee injury, as the two-time medalist announced Tuesday that she her knee was not yet ready for competition. However, she figured out a pretty good way to cheer herself up: puppy
Lindsey Vonn adopted a puppy with a matching knee injury
Dogs are like their owners. Lindsey Vonn got a dog just like her, in that it had a broken leg while she is going to miss the Olympics with a knee injury.

Leo brightened my day-adopted him from an animal shelter.Has a bum knee bc a car hit him #bumkneebuddies #puppylove pic.twitter.com/ctx6NFDdzd

More specifically, PUPPY WITH A KNEE INJURY
They say that dogs tend to be like their owners -- you know, fat guys walking down the street with English bulldogs, shaggy-haired blond dudes bro-ing out with their golden retrievers -- but I think a world-famous skier with a depressing, dream-killing knee injury walking into a shelter, being shown a dog that just got hit by a car and going “THAT ONE” has to take the cake. Even if the dog doesn’t look that much like Vonn:

GrindTV elaborated that Tiger Woods -- they’re dating and we have to mention it in every article -- saw the boxer a few weeks ago, and wanted another one, but Vonn’s preference won out.
(Also, I adopted a puppy last month. She’s great. You should adopt a puppy.)
