Brett Favre writes birthday poem for Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. celebrated his 40th birthday Friday, and Brett Favre had a special message for the NASCAR driver.
”There once was a man from Carolina,
As a driver there’s none that were finer.”At forty-years-old you’re brave and you’re bold,
But watch it Dale, there’s a young guy behind ya.”
Favre and Dale Earnhardt Jr. are kindred spirits. Both from the south, spokesmen for Wrangler Jeans and also happen to share the same birthday (Oct. 10).
And with this year a milestone birthday for Earnhardt, who turned 40 Friday, Favre showcased a softer side. The three-time NFL MVP and noted tough guy wrote a special poem for NASCAR’s most popular driver.
