Carolina Panthers running back Fozzy Whittaker had a big moment when he scored his first rushing touchdown against the Bengals on Sunday. That football is a memento a player cherishes. There was just one problem ... Cam Newton.

The Panthers’ quarterback has made it a tradition to ensure touchdown balls find their way into the hands of young fans. Every Carolina touchdown is hand-delivered by Newton, even if it’s a momentous one.
Whittaker was probably never going to see his first touchdown ball again, until a fan reached out:
@FozzyWhitt Cam gave my little brother the ball you scored your 1st touchdown with! I thought you might want it back pic.twitter.com/3yA5QrO9Ij
— Victor Kremser (@VictorKremser) October 15, 2014 This has got to be tough. Taking a ball from a kid or losing out on having the first touchdown with your team?
Whitaker wasn’t going to take that moment from a fan:
@FozzyWhitt Great! Thanks. He came all the way from Germany to watch you all. I wish you good luck for the season and a lot of touchdowns!!!
