Horrendous recruiting letters have reached the world of DIII softball

A little bit of clip art, a little bit of seasonal humor, and ... no, nobody is going to play softball at your school because of this.

We love that the letter strives to make it seem how greatly important the player in question is, but then has a handwritten name in the top left to make it clear that it’s not exactly unique. The sad thing is, this letter was sent in vain: the Twitter profile of the high school senior who sent it, Brittanie Adams, states that she’ll be playing at NAIA Ottawa University next year. It seems the University of Dallas will have to enter that horrifying, horrifying world without her on its roster.

Let’s stack this up against the all-time recruiting letter failure greats:

- Virginia’s YOU

- NC State’s “YOU = BALLER”

-Mississippi State’s SWAG-O-METER

- Notre Dame’s recruiting letter mountains
