NBC’s Vine of every Peyton Manning pass is a lie and a sham, we investigate

James Dator has been covering a wide range of sports for SB Nation for over a decade, with a special focus on the NFL.
Sunday Night Football made a very nice Vine for you. It claims to show you every single one of Peyton Manning’s 506 career touchdowns in one six-second Vine. Isn’t that great?! We all love efficiency and this seems perfect.
NOT SO FAST!
That’s right folks, 175 frames. SB Nation.com invoked its crack team of video analysts to break down the Vine and find out whether we’re really seeing every touchdown. Okay, so the “crack team” was @SBNationGIF and he counted the frames with an abacus. It took a while. Here’s what we discovered:
- Frame No. 6 and frame No. 9 are the EXACT same photo. Unless Peyton Manning threw two touchdowns on one play, somehow three plays apart, this is a LIE.
- The photo claiming to be touchdown 387 is just Peyton making a scary face.

-
Touchdown 136 is just Peyton's groin and it looks like he's running offscreen.

We don’t mean to be killjoys, but making a Vine of Peyton’s touchdowns is serious business.
Wake up, sheeple.
Follow the money.
