The Greater Manchester Police confiscated the lamps from a marijuana grower and didn’t have much use for them themselves, so Sargant Andy Fern donated the lamps to the club. The club, which doesn’t have the £25,000 that each lamp costs were only too happy to take them.

“I can’t thank police enough,” head groundsman Oli Makin told the BBC. “It has saved the club a fortune and the players will be happy, especially the goalkeeper.”
Has anyone asked the goalkeeper if he would rather have good grass or good weed, though?
