It’s not often you see a non-head coach carried off the field. It’s even less often that it happens in Week 5. But the circumstances here meant the Bills gave Jim Schwartz a lift after their 17-14 comeback last-minute win over the Lions:
As requested, Jim Schwartz carried off field after Bills beat Lions
Alternate headline: “defensive coordinator carried off field after Week 5 matchup between 3-2 team and 2-2 team.”

Of course, Schwartz was Detroit’s coach for five dismal years -- the Lions went 29-51 under Schwartz, with one trip to the playoffs, where they lost their only game. He landed on his feet in Buffalo, and they’re sitting on top of the AFC East after the win.
This wasn’t just a spur of the moment thing:
Schwartz told Bills players in OTAs he wanted to be carried off the field after he beat the Lions
