If you were one of the millions watching Chiefs vs. 49ers then you probably noticed something funny happen at the end of the game. Instead of showing the Jets beatdown at the hands of San Diego, CBS instead decided to go straight to 60 Minutes.
CBS imposes mercy rule, cuts away from the end of Chargers vs. Jets

People noticed that Chargers vs. Jets “went to live on a farm.”
@nfl @woodyjohnson4 @nyjets our local CBS left game for 60 Minutes. I do not blame them - I'd watch Heidi over this! #nyjets #Jets #NYJvsSD
— Dave E (@goalie44) October 5, 2014 The Jets are playing so HORRIBLE, that CBS went to the last 2.5 mins of Chiefs vs Niners then went back to the studios when the game was
— IG: DaRealBigDon (@BostonReggae) October 5, 2014 Did CBS just mercy rule the Jets game?
— Paul Pabst (@PaulPabst) October 5, 2014 cbs straight up not showing the end of the jets game like they're staging an intervention in all of our lives
— Lana Berry (@Lana) October 5, 2014 Jets are so bad, CBS cut away from the end of the game for 60 minutes. #Heidi
— John Palaszczuk (@xomjohn) October 5, 2014 #WKEN: outside of New York, rest of nation switched to Niners-Chiefs on CBS. What took them so long? These Jets are embarrassing.
— Ken McMillan (@KenMcMillanTHR) October 5, 2014 One person really wanted to see the ending.
@CBS Sports. Not happy about cutting the jets game. They weren't doing well, but people want to watch the whole game! #notnice
