Titans players make sure single mothers have a happy Thanksgiving

On Tuesday night, Delanie Walker and some of his Titans teammates spent time and had a Thanksgiving dinner with single mothers recovering from drug and alcohol abuse and their families. The first Delanie Walker Gives Back Turkey Bowl at the East Park Community Center on Woodland Street in Nashville happened, in part, due to the example set by Walker’s own mother.

“I grew up in that household where my mom, she worked two jobs just to try to keep me and my brother into nice clothes and to keep food on our table,” Walker said ...

“She raised us on her own with no help,” he said. “She always worked hard. She made sure we went to school, kept us focused. She’s like a superwoman.”
