Watch Tracy McGrady pretend to be a rookie in Foot Locker commercial

I’d love to know how Foot Locker keeps getting current and former players to mock themselves in commercials. They got Brett Favre to joke about making a comeback, Landon Donovan to pretend he played in the 2014 World Cup and Tim Duncan to celebrate in a very robotic way, for example.

Now, they’ve convinced Tracy McGrady to confront delusions about his basketball mortality by pretending he’s still a rookie (in China). The irony: the former All-Star recently told Bleacher Report’s Les Carpenter that he’s “better than half the damn [NBA] anyway.” That’s a real-life quote, not a commercial.

Maybe this one hits a little too close to home.
