Teammate says Lakers’ Nick Young is ‘the Screech of the NBA’

Nick Young’s goofy personality and unique style have earned him a nickname in the Lakers’ locker room.

“He’s the Screech of the NBA,” Lakers’ center Robert Sacre told me.

He’s referring to Screech of late-80s/early-90s television show Saved by the Bell fame, and when he explained why, it started to make some sense.

“Look at him!” laughed Sacre, pointing to Young across the locker room. “He’s got the curly hair, the tight pants. He’s ridiculous. He’s Screech.”

Young doesn’t mind the teasing, and why should he? He’s dating superstar Iggy Azalea, playing for his hometown team and fulfilling a life-long fashion dream by appearing in a campaign with Azalea for Forever 21. It’s a good time to be Nick Young.

Horrible Bosses 2. It was pretty good, I liked it. I ain’t gonna lie, I was shocked. I saw the first one but I was forced to see the second one. The sequel’s never that good. I think it might have been better.

I think two days ago. It was about the game. I was running late and I missed the whole game. I kept getting stopped trying to get there and when I got there, there was nobody there. And I woke up, like, I’m glad it was a dream.

I’m gonna have to say Robert Sacre. Just looking at him.

My momma. “What are we cooking this weekend?”

Myself. I was feeling good that day.

Probably this summer when I was going through my free agency. That was scary.

Two games ago, when Iggy was sitting courtside. I just slipped and fell for no reason. The ball went over my head. And then I tried to get back up and I slipped again. I blamed it on the floor. She didn’t believe me.

Today. My momma and Iggy.
