Sage Kotsenburg won the first gold medal of the Sochi Winter Olympics in slopestyle scoreboarding, and since then his personality has been revealed to be awesome.
Gold medalist snowboarder Sage Kotsenburg wants a bacon medal
What’s better than a gold medal? A bacon medal.

He tweeted about how it was “random” that he made the finals right before winning, and later we found out that he had never tried the trick he won gold on -- deciding on a whim to do it right before the run -- and that Russian translators were befuddled by his surf-y dialect including words like “sick” and “stoked” in his post-win presser.
So this tweet wasn’t surprising:
Ahh I wish the Sochi medals were made out of bacon thoooo..!!
— sage kotsenburg (@sagekotsenburg) February 10, 2014 Sage, you did America proud by bringing back gold. Surely, the least we can do is give you bacon:

That’s how the podium should look: third place bronze, second-place silver, first-place gold. It certainly would make that little thing where they put the medal in their mouth and chew on it more rewarding.
