College hockey players tries to score with header
What a heads up play, that’s using your head kid. Now, keep your head in the game and use your head.

Boston College winger John Gaudreau is using some unconventional techniques against Massachusetts-Lowell. This could be the first recorded occasion of a header in hockey, which shouldn’t be too surprising given one of the helmet’s core jobs is preventing pucks from hitting heads.
Gaudreau was a fourth round pick in 2011 and The Hockey News’ scouting report on him is pretty much spot on (emphasis ours).
Owns tremendous instincts in the offensive zone and can generate a ton of offense at lower levels. Skates very well and is extremely creative with the puck.
Yup, sounds about right.
