Bo Pelini brings cat to Nebraska spring game
The coach with a gruff reputation hoisted her in the air, just like ‘The Lion King.’

After months of fighting over his cat with alter-ego @FauxPelini, Nebraska coach Bo Pelini seems to have finally rescued the poor kitty... AND HE BROUGHT HER TO THE SPRING GAME!
Not only that... he hoisted it in the air, just like ‘The Lion King.’
Yes this actually happened during the tunnel walk. #BoPelini #huskers #nebraska pic.twitter.com/SNfWTny0ID
— Josh Harvey (@JoshHarveyScout) April 12, 2014 Bo Pelini just pulled a "Circle of Life" moment with the cat. That's the spring game, folks. #Huskers pic.twitter.com/2IakPxbXn1
— Erin Sorensen (@erinsorensen) April 12, 2014 According to the Omaha World Herald, the cat is named Anya and belongs to someone in the athletic department. “It was probably a little freaked out,” Pelini said.
It looks like @FauxPelini has waved the white flag.
.@BoPelini Fine, you can keep her
— Fake Bo Pelini (@FauxPelini) April 12, 2014 This is the second year Nebraska’s spring game has stolen the show. Last year, young cancer patient Jack Hoffman scored a touchdown in the game.
