The Buffalo Bills center has received some pretty weird items and signed all of them.
James Dator has been covering a wide range of sports for SB Nation for over a decade, with a special focus on the NFL.
Hats and jerseys are pedestrian. Anybody can send some store-bought memorabilia for an NFL player to sign, but it shows real gumption to send a wooden pickle.
It’s still unclear why someone purchases a wooden pickle in the first place, but we really hope it was home turned on a lathe -- lovingly cared for an polished to a sheen. Of course the irony of “GO BILLS” written on an eviction notice isn’t lost on us either.
Are any of these items better than Jared Allen signing a DUI ticket? That’s the real question.
