Competing in a track meet with your sister is a fun event, but when one sibling forgets their own race to help the other -- that’s when things become special.
Meet the girl who sacrificed her own race to help her sister finish
The spirit of sports is alive and well.

Chloe and Claire Gruenke are 13-year-old twins set to compete in the 800 meter race at the Southern Illinois track meet. With just under half the race remaining Chloe felt a pop in her thigh and was unable to continue. Most 13-year olds would complete the race then check on their sibling, not so for Claire. She picked up her sister and carrier her for the remainder of the race, all to ensure the sisters would be able to finish -- together.
It didn’t matter that the pair finished last. They finished, that’s what’s important.
