Brandon Sherrod played 21.0 minutes per game for Yale last year, now he’ll be spending his time singing a capella in what’s being called “The most Yale thing ever,” at least from some of us.
Yale basketball player quitting to sing a capella, because of course
A capella has fired it’s first shot at the world of sports, now we wait to see how sports will respond.

Sherrod wont play in the upcoming season for the Bulldogs because he received a far more enticing offer from the Whiffenpoofs. Yep, Whiffenpoofs. Let’s say that one more time because it’s really fun, Whiffenpoofs. Becoming a member of the prestigious singing group allows a student to travel the world, visiting everywhere except Antarctica in 2015, according to the New Haven Register.
This is a stern shot to our athletic values as a nation. What’s next? Glee clubs taking over NASCAR? What about jazz ballet invading football? Slippery slopes are real people.
Well it’s all downhill from here. Might as well enjoy sports while we can and listen to some smooth Whiffenpoofs jams in the process.
