Watch unearthed video of the 1919 Black Sox

Eye on Baseball alerts us to the existence of this magnificent video of the 1919 World Series. Can you spot the moment when it became completely obvious that Eddie Cicotte was part of a World Series fix?

Probably not, considering video cameras back then were made out of logs and beaver pelts. But it’s still fun to try. As Deadspin points out, things get interesting around 3:30 when Cicotte has a serious case of the awscrewits and doesn’t back up home on an RBI hit.

My favorite part, though, might be the glimpse of MLB Gameday’s crazy uncle.
