You might have noticed that Serge Ibaka played in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals even though the Thunder ruled him out for the entire postseason with a calf injury last week.
Gregg Popovich pokes fun at Serge Ibaka’s injury recovery
After his team lost Game 3, the Spurs’ coach couldn’t help but make fun of the Thunder declaring Serge Ibaka out for the playoffs a week ago, only to allow him to return to action.
Spurs coach Gregg Popovich is never one to pass on an opportunity to throw shade, of course. This is how he responded when asked about Manu Ginobili not playing in the fourth quarter.
“He’ll be fine.” Popovich said. Then, after a long pause, he added: “Or, he’s out for the rest of the playoffs.”
