French Open kicks off with the best dance-off in sports

Turn down for tennis.

It’s French Open time, which means throngs of fans will descend on Roland Garros to see the world’s best duke it out on the clay. The playing surface traditionally favors a slower, more tactical game -- but on Kid’s Day it all all about using the surface’s slipperiness to one’s advantage in order to show off.

Gaël Monfils and Laurent Lokoli are two French pros who took the opportunity before the competition to dazzle the crowds with some amazing dance moves. Both guys are seriously good, so it’s hard to pick a winner. We might have to go with Monfils in this one. Not only does he have a good grasp of the song, but he throws in a couple of capoeira moves and a few impressive flips.

Well played, French Open.
