The lead up to the 2014 World Cup has been perfect, at least from an advertising perspective. ESPN released a new commercial they’re calling “Time Zone” that showcases just how unifying the FIFA World Cup can be.
ESPN’s new World Cup ad is perfect
The World Cup is a time of unity, not division -- that’s why this ad is so great.

It’s perfect for a number or reasons, largely because the premise is dead simple -- while the World Cup is on we’re all on the same clock. Seattle to Osaka, London to the Andes. Every four years is a story of waking up early, staying up all night and trying to find a place to gather with complete strangers to watch the games.
Lost productivity, fighting bad reception, game-time food: It’s all here. Well done ESPN.
