Meet ‘Touchline Dad,’ the rugby father who trips people

He’s straight trippin.

James Dator
James Dator has been covering a wide range of sports for SB Nation for over a decade, with a special focus on the NFL.

Meet “Touchline Dad.” That phrase means little to the rugby-ignorant, so know that “touchline” is the same as “sideline.” Touchline Dad is the MacGyver of parents. He sees a problem, he fixes it. When his son’s team was losing by 49 points something needed to be done, even if it meant tripping other children to do it.

At first you might thing “wow, that’s not very subtle” but we assembled a crack team of photo-analysts who have determined Touchline Dad is responsible for some of sport’s most infamous moments.
