Warriors fire Mark Jackson, send out email declaring themselves Game 7 winners

Whoops.

Mark D. Smith-USA TODAY Sports

After a contentious, successful reign, the Golden State Warriors decided to part ways with head coach Mark Jackson. Once the decision was final, they took the standard next step and e-mailed their season-ticket holders.

Wait, did the PR person just have the original Game 7 email draft just sitting in an open tab as a sad reminder of crushed dreams and broken spirits, then absent-mindedly filled in different sad news days later? He or she has probably been with the organization for a long, long time, then. That’s the Warriors I remember. Memories.

The Warriors later updated the email.
