Conducting a radio interview on the way to work is a regular Wednesday occurrence for Washington Nationals manager Matt Williams. Getting into a car accident on the way to the park? That’s a little more unusual.
When we say “car accident” that’s really selling it short. Williams gives live updates on an apparent police chase that he became involved in when a car rear-ended him. The Nationals manager calls it “the strangest thing” he’s even been involved in, while needing some helpful advice on how to file an insurance claim.
Like a true pro Williams decides to turn to baseball around 2:40 in, all while helicopters are circling overhead.
