A fire destroyed the Jackson State baseball team’s bus, along with a bunch of stuff, so Mississippi State thought it would help out its in-state brethren by donating some gear. But as JSU head coach Omar Jackson explained during his team’s NCAA Tournament run, it wasn’t exactly the most helpful help:
Jackson State’s baseball coach does not appreciate Mississippi State’s unhelpful donation
Mississippi State’s donation to Jackson State in their time of need didn’t actually help solve any of their needs.

It was a beautiful gesture of Mississippi State to try and help out in Jackson State’s time of need, but ... well ... yeah. It’s like dying of thirst in the desert and somebody sends you a lovely bouquet of flowers.
The SWAC champions had shocked the world by knocking off top-seeded Louisiana-Lafayette in the first game, but dropped their second game to MSU -- HEY, MAYBE YOU COULD’VE DONATED A WIN, JERKS -- and are currently losing pretty badly to the Ragin’ Cajuns, so it looks like the Cinderella story is going to be short-lived.
