Mets’ Carlos Torres literally beats himself up over poor performance

Seriously, Carlos, stop hitting yourself.

MLB.com

The Mets might have left reliever Carlos Torres in just a little too long on Thursday. He didn’t take to his four-run performance well, and literally beat himself up for it.

It’s actually kind of sad to watch as it’s happening, because poor Torres is furious with himself for a sub-par outing and the cameras are capturing all of it, but then Mets’ announcer Ron Darling accidentally turns this into a laughable moment with his overly somber, “You can see the anger he has” line.

Now I can’t take his personal trauma seriously because I have to keep listening for that inflection on a loop. Thanks a lot, Ron.
