Kings Stanley Cup Championship gear is already being sold in LA

JINX OF THE CENTURY? (No, probably not. Just some shirts being sold.)

You have to make “XXXXXXX XXXXXX CHAMPIONS” gear ahead of time, so the team can wear it after the game and fans can buy it ASAP. We know this, and we know that they make it for both teams, and that the ones that don’t win get sent to third-world countries.

However, goodness forbid we actually see the stuff before a team is 100 percent guaranteed as champion, and OH NO THAT’S A JIIIIIINX (h/t: Yahoo!)

In all likelihood, this won’t be a story. The Los Angeles Kings will win Game 5, or Game 6, or Game 7, and this Stanley Cup Champions gear won’t be funny. It’ll just be a thing.

But if they do lose all three, blowing a 3-0 lead like the one they came back from in the first round, then we’ll have to argue this thing totally unrelated to hockey caused it.
