Getting hit by a baseball seems like a thing that would hurt. It did not hurt Joe West, who took a damn line drive like a champ in the sixth inning of a boring Mets-A’s affair:
Umpire gets drilled with foul ball, keeps truckin’, flexes
We would fall over if we were hit with a line drive. Umpire Joe West merely makes the call he was supposed to, then flexes to show he’s stronger than any puny baseball.

That ball ricochets off him hard enough to keep going a pretty solid distance into right field, so it was going hard. But West merely points to indicate a foul ball, then FLEXES TO SHOW HIS GUNS:
Joe West is not made of flesh like us humans. He is made of metal. Solid metal. That is the only way to describe his nonchalant handling of this rather than keeling over in extreme pain.
