Florida will lose its reputation for being Florida when it stops behaving so much like Florida. The lastest is a courtroom fight from Brevard, but not in a fun Judge Judy way, more like a “this judge is going to attack you,” kind of way.

It’s unclear what prompted this public defender and judge to have so much animosity towards one another but it feels like this way brewing for some time. After some legal banter between the two Judge John Murphy makes a pretty clear statement that sounds more like Anchorman than anything else.
“You know, if I had a rock I would throw it at you right now.”
There’s some more arguing then they take it outside where it sounds like the two come to blows. The crowd inside the courtroom has little to say, except for one man who doesn’t seem surprised at all saying “Now that’s what I like to hear.”
If only jury duty was this fun.
