The Cleveland Browns are getting a real dog for a mascot

Alright Cleveland, we are totally down with this plan.

James Dator has been covering a wide range of sports for SB Nation for over a decade, with a special focus on the NFL.

We’ve been told that Cleveland rocks, but did you know that the Northern Ohio city has Swagger too? Well, it doesn’t have Swagger yet -- but it will soon.

The Browns will become the ninth team in NFL history to use a real animal as a mascot vs. a faker in the suit. Apparently “Swagger” wont be a bulldog but rather a bull mastiff, which is a lot more appropriate. It’s nice to see the city turn its swag on so quickly. All it took was drafting Johnny Manziel and LeBron James returning to become Ohio’s swaggiest city (Not a real award).

We can’t wait to see how this experiment turns out, so here are a couple of artists renderings showing us what “Swagger” could look like.
