Everyone tips their cap to Derek Jeter in this new Nike commercial

You might not even be aware but you tipped it, too.

We’ll see Derek Jeter’s final All-Star appearance Tuesday, which also means we’ll see our final All-Star-related Derek Jeter advertisements. Nike is on top of things with this 90-second spot -- which will broadcast during the game -- that shows fellow athletes as well as ushers, fans, police officers, celebrities, begrudging Red Sox fans and more tipping their cap to the Captain.

The quality of the video is high enough that we can all quietly agree to pretend it’s not titled “RE2PECT” as if it stars Vin Diesel, right?

The video only released on YouTube on Monday morning, but its message of respect to Jeter is already spreading everywhere, even to other species.

That’s one classy cat. Jeter’s pretty cool, too.
