The Phillies like to play bocce during rain delays, apparently

If you plan to attend a Phillies game this year, it might be a good idea to wait until there’s an afternoon with rain forecast. Nobody likes to see a game get rained out, but it affords you a rare chance to see “sportsception” -- that’s a sport within a sport.

It seems the Phillies have a nice little plan when the field gets wet -- a good old-fashioned game of bocce. Normally played on the beach or by a group of old people, these players are shattering stereotypes and getting after it. Now we need a retiree to show these fellas how to play, because it’s definitely not in the rules to have everyone throw a single ball in turn.
