The latest fad in horse racing is 2 races at the same time

“You got turf in my dirt!” “You got dirt in my turf!”

A small Minnesota racetrack is now promoting a hybrid monstrosity of a race called “Battle of the Surfaces,” where 10 horses run on turf AT THE SAME TIME as 10 horses running on dirt. AND THEY’RE ALL RACING AGAINST ONE ANOTHER.

As Racing Post reports, the horses in the race were selected based on class, the start was staggered and the horses ran different lengths to ensure the super-race would be as even as possible.

The second-best part of this video, other than the race, is that it features horses like Ivory Fudge and Where’s The Remote, which also pretty much encapsulates the average day in the life of a sports blogger.
