NFL Network wants you to remember Deion Sanders’ one season in Washington

It’s Homecoming Week, the perfect time to bring back a player who played just one season on your favorite team.

The inexhaustible well of fun and thematic whimsy better known as the NFL Network has an upcoming tie-in sure to please even the most hardened fan of Washington’s NFL team. On Friday, the league’s official news agency will dispatch Deion Sanders to Richmond, Va., as part of Homecoming Week. Prepare your nostalgia receptors.

Sanders, you see, played for Washington ... one season out of his 14-year career.

That's got to be especially awkward since he spent five seasons with the rival Cowboys. But Michael Irvin has that beat covered for Homecoming Week. The NFL Network could have also sent LaVar Arrington, who conveniently already has a reserved parking spot at the local Arby's.
