Come high water, there will still be baseball in Davenport, Iowa.

The Mississippi River is flooding Davenport, Iowa, as it does every few years. Unfortunately, that means the stadium for the Class A Quad Cities River Bandits, which sits on the river’s banks, is entirely surrounded by water. But rather than cancel Friday’s game, the team had a solution: just build a bridge to the ballpark.

— Doing It Davenport (@DoingItDport) July 3, 2014 This isn’t the first time this has happened. Before renovations were made, the stadium used to flood, but since the Mississippi floods so frequently in Davenport, a flood wall went up in 2011 — the river has now flooded three of the four years since then — and provided us with some cool pictures.
