Watch the nauseating bad beat that cost a poker player $1 million
This is heartbreak in a single video.

James Dator has been covering a wide range of sports for SB Nation for over a decade, with a special focus on the NFL.
This is the most nauseating poker video you’ll see this year, possibly ever. That’s because this is the mother of bad beats, and the look on Connor Drinan’s face when he realized he lost $1 million at the World Series of Poker can’t even be eclipsed by Teddy KGB in Rounders.
Both Drinan and his opponent Cary Katz were holding pocket aces. A series of raises and re-raises led to Drinan going all in. Everything would come down to the flop. Two hearts, Katz was still nervous. Then the turn, another heart.
Suddenly a pall fell over the table and all Drinan could do was shake his head in disbelief. Finally the river brought another heart and Drinan realized in a second he’d just lost everything.
This is a look of unmitigated pain.
