Ray Rice apologized for assaulting his wife on Thursday, which doesn’t change his actions or the sad way the Ravens and the NFL have handled those actions. No part of it is funny.
TV station swaps out Ray Rice apology video for a Spider-Man costume fight
Ray Rice’s apology is basically the same as a dude in a Spider-Man costume beating somebody up.
What is funny is this attempt at showing Rice’s apology by Minnesota FOX affiliate KMSP (via Zach Halverson on Twitter):
Instead of Rice, it’s this viral vid of somebody in a Spider-Man costume trying to beat people up. We don’t know if this was intentional, but we absolutely cannot stop laughing at what was either a simple screw-up or incredible social commentary. Whichever it was, the newscasters were NOT ON BOARD.
Surely, the Washington Post reader who got mad at the paper for comparing Rice to Fred Flintstone should get mad for once again slandering a beloved animated character -- in this case, Spider-Man -- by comparing him to Rice.
