Here’s the first triple backflip on a mountain bike
That’s just amazing.

James Dator has been covering a wide range of sports for SB Nation for over a decade, with a special focus on the NFL.
It’s been a few years since the first triple-backflip on a BMX bike was landed, but doing the same thing on a mountain bike is a whole other story (and a decidedly more difficult one). Now there’s footage of the first two landed triples, which occurred on the same day thanks to the help of Travis Pastrana and Nitro Circus.
Gavin Godfrey and Ethen Roberts had some problems landing the triples at first, breaking handlebars and crashing big while practicing.
With a little more practice the landing hill was rebuilt and finally the big event happened.
