Man sets deadlift World Record, gives short, weird interview

James Dator has been covering a wide range of sports for SB Nation for over a decade, with a special focus on the NFL.
Benedikt Magnússon is an Icelandic strongman who set an astounding deadlift World Record of 1,016 pounds at Europe’s Strongest Man 2014. The lift was so great it needed an epic interview after to explain how it happened, and Benni didn’t let us down.
“The greatest lift ever in history, congratulations. Can you speak to us and give us a little info on how it feels to get that record?”
It’s okay that he’s not a man for words.
