UAB’s new helmets feature giant dragons and SCALES

The trend of college football embracing giant heads continues, with UAB unveiling their 2014 uniforms. Like other teams they’re going for the “bigger is better” motif, featuring two huge dragon heads and, more importantly, scales.
Heck, not even the Barcelona Dragons got scales when they played in NFL Europe. So congrats UAB, you’re now officially better than Jay Gruden.
He played for the Dragons in 1991.
