Walking on the beach this morning, doing a little thinking when I saw footprints in the sand. Reminded me of the poem Footprints in the Sand

A+ tweet.

Good tweet, John Calipari. It reminded me of the poem Fav-prints in the Timeline, which I just wrote.
One night I dreamed I was tweeting along the beach with the Larry the Twitter bird.
Many drafts from my life flashed across the timeline.
In each tweet I noticed footprints in the timeline.
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,
other times there were one set of footprints.
This bothered me because I noticed
that during the saddest tweets of my career,
when I was suffering from
no RTs, no favs and zero engagement,
I could see only one set of footprints.
So I said to the Larry the Twitter bird,
“You promised me Larry the Twitter bird
that if I followed you,
you would tweet with me always.
But I have noticed that during
the most worst streaks of weak tweets
there have only been one
set of footprints in the timeline.
Why, when I needed you most,
you have not been there for me?“
Larry the Twitter bird replied,
“The times when you have
seen only one set of footprints in your timeline,
is when I tweeted for you.“
“Thanks, I guess,” I replied. Like I said, those tweets got no favs so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
