Aussie Rules team helps a brave 5-year-old celebrate his birthday

Great job Richmond.

The Richmond Tigers play in the AFL (Australian Football League) and are on the cusp of a playoff run in 2014. This isn’t about the team’s performance or even one of its stars, Jake King. It’s about a very brave five-year-old named Nate, who was afforded the experience of a lifetime this season.

There’s been no shortage of teams around the world doing these kind of things, but King went a step beyond. The Australian Rules Football star traveled to Nate’s home, flew with him to Melbourne, took the time to walk around the field pre-game and finally helped join in singing happy birthday to the little boy following Richmond’s game.

This is just a great video.
