Wake-ULM ref gets smashed in the face
He left the game under his own power.
We’ve had our first major injury of the FBS season, and it wasn’t even a player. In Thursday’s game against Wake Forest, a Louisiana-Monroe defender hurdled a wide receiver only to have his elbow land on the ref’s head.
According to the announcers, the ref walked out on his own power, but didn’t return to the game. We’ll update with any additional information.
