A Japanese baseball player tried to hit a 186 mph fastball
This is torturous.

James Dator has been covering a wide range of sports for SB Nation for over a decade, with a special focus on the NFL.
Takeshi Yamasaki had a pretty good career in Japan’s NPB league before retiring in 2011. He spent more than 20 years in the majors, and instead of enjoying his well-earned retirement, Japanese TV is subjecting him to a demon pitching machine.
We’re not sure what the dial on this machine is, but we’re sure it’s being turned up to 11. It starts slowly, but quickly ramps up to 300 kmh, or 186 miles per hour. The result is, well, terrifying.
Now keep in mind this is a former professional baseball player, a man who has almost 1,500 hits and 1,000 RBI in his career. Look what happens when he tried to hit in slow motion.
