The ‘cat’ that ran onto the NASCAR track was actually a squirrel

There are plenty of occasions in life when you don’t want to see a black cat cross your path, even if you’re not the superstitious type. Headlining this list is almost assuredly “While leading a NASCAR race.”

Kevin Harvick was leading the Oral-B USA 500 in Atlanta when this little kitty decided to wander onto the asphalt. Obviously the cat was OK, but now it’s the infield’s problem.

UPDATE: It turns out that feisty feline was actually a squirrel! It’s the kind of trickery we’d expect from a cat, though.
