It’s officially time to rename the Oakland A’s the “Oakland O-possums.” On Monday night a patchy-furred rodent left the confines of an area trash can to try make it in the bigs.
It’s exactly like getting called up from the minors. An opossum works hard all its life until someone realizes just how good they are at picking through dumpsters. Then it moves into the local stadium to dine on half-eaten hot dogs and leftover peanuts.
