David Wilson bids an emotional farewell to the NFL

Forced into an early retirement, Wilson was not afraid to show his emotions.

New York Giants running back David Wilson was forced to retire on Wednesday afternoon, following the advice of doctors after he suffered a second neck injury. Wilson missed 11 games in 2013 with the aforementioned neck injury before suffering a severe burner in his first training camp practice this summer.

Give Wilson credit, he did not want any pity despite being dealt a tough hand. Even through tears, Wilson displayed toughness in the face of watching his lifelong dream slip away. Hopefully, Wilson can return to a normal life and make a success of himself going forward.
