On its face, this tweet from Rory McIlroy is really sweet:
Rory McIlroy tweets about ‘simple things’ while reading book about yachts
Rory McIlroy’s tweet about his low-key relaxing evening also includes that coffee table book he’s reading about the most expensive thing possible.

Home... lying on the sofa, NFL on the TV and a cup of tea! #simplethings #bliss pic.twitter.com/A3vCdqVV8j
— Rory Mcilroy (@McIlroyRory) September 15, 2014 McIlroy finished tied for second at the TOUR Championship Sunday, which earned him $708,000 to go along with the $2 million he made by finishing third in the FedEx Cup. That's all on top of the $8 million-plus he already earned on the season, but it's clear he's still a low-key guy who can entertain himself by relaxing and watching some football.
But wait, let’s take a closer look:
Yup, Mr. Simple Things In Life is reading a book about chartering yachts. And not just any yachts -- the world’s 100 finest! I mean, it could just be a coffee table book that sits there while Rory doesn’t charter yachts, but hey, if I made more than $10 million this year, I’d probably be chartering some yachts. Don’t hide it, Rory! We also wouldn’t try to hide it. We’d be soliciting Twitter for yacht advice just to rub it in that we were chartering yachts instead of just reading books about it. But that’s the difference between us and Rory McIlroy. (that and the golf skills thing.)
