Dick Vitale yells ‘BOOYAH!’ as tribute to Stuart Scott after UNC game-winner

Dick Vitale was on the call for today’s matchup between UNC and Louisville, less than a week after the tragic death of ESPN sportscaster and UNC alum Stuart Scott.

When the Tar Heels beat the No. 5 Cardinals on a Marcus Paige game-winner, Vitale used Scott’s signature catchphrase:

It’s a loud, but incredibly sweet homage from one legendary who changed the way we watched sports to another.

UNC had paid tribute to Scott and worn “STU” patches on Monday night when they played Notre Dame.
