Tom Herman celebrates Ohio State’s national title with Houston Cougars hat

At the exact moment his duties with the Buckeyes were done, the Ohio State offensive coordinator turned his mind to his next gig.

Ohio State offensive coordinator Tom Herman was named as Houston’s next coach in December, but he was allowed to finish his duties with the Buckeyes as they played in the College Football Playoff. Tonight they won the title. He walked to the podium with a hat in his back pocket:

And then donned it:

Ohio State kept Herman as he put together the gameplans to knock off Alabama and Oregon. And now Houston gets a coach who can tell recruits he just won a ring. Everybody’s happy. Well, everybody except Maurice Clarett.
